Dobhar-chu

Dobhar-chu is a creature of Irish folklore and a cryptid . Dobhar-chú is roughly translated into "water hound." Dobhar-chu resembles both a dog and an otter though sometimes is described as a half dog, half fish. Dobhar-chu lives in water and has fur with protective properties.

Tengu

Tengu ( 天狗 , "heavenly dogs") are a class of supernatural creatures found in Japanese folklore , art , theater , and literature . They are one of the best known yōkai (monster-spirits) and are sometimes worshipped as Shinto kami (revered spirits or gods). Although they take their name from a dog-like Chinese demon ( Tiangou ), the tengu were originally thought to take the forms of birds of prey , and they are traditionally depicted with both human and avian characteristics. They appear in the children's story 'Banner in the sky' when the main character trips over one and falls off the face of the mountain. The earliest tengu were pictured with beaks, but this feature has often been humanized as an unnaturally long nose, which today is practically the tengu's defining characteristic in the popular imagination.

The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is a mythological creature and an ape-like cryptid said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet . The names Yeti and Meh-Teh are commonly used by the people indigenous to the region, and are part of their history and mythology. Stories of the Yeti first emerged as a facet of Western popular culture in the 19th century.

The ahool is a flying cryptid , supposedly a giant bat ,or by other accounts, a living pterosaur or flying primate .Such a creature is unknown to science and there is no objective evidence that it exists as claimed.

Jersey Devil

Jersey Devil , sometimes called the Leeds Devil , is a legendary creature or cryptid said to inhabit the Pine Barrens in southern New Jersey . The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves , but there are many variations. Jersey Devil has worked its way into the pop culture of the area, even lending its name to New Jersey's team in the National Hockey League .

Kappa ( 河 , "river-child") , alternately called Kawatarō ( 川太郎 , "river-boy") or Kawako ( 川子 , "river-child") , are legendary creatures , a type of water sprite found in Japanese folklore . In Shintō they are considered to be one of many suijin . A hair-covered variation of a Kappa is called a Hyōsube ( ひょうすべ ) .

Winged Cats

Winged cats is a term for sightings or descriptions of cats with wing-like appendages. There are three different causes of wing-like appendages. The most common is longhaired cats having matted fur. Felted mats of fur can form along the body and flanks if a longhaired cat is not properly groomed. Less commonly, mats can occur in shorthaired cats if molted fur adheres to growing fur over several seasons.
